In this level, you will have to use the eye of truth very often to see doors appear (1). Be sure to turn it off when you no longer need it as it pumps out magic. This object distinguishes the true from the false and will be very useful even if it is not essential because you can cross the false walls without having looked at them with the monocle. In general, false walls have a square image of a monster on them, but this is not always the case.
Go to the end of the corridor and use your grapple to cross the hole. The wall at the end is fake, go through it. Rotate the bird clockwise by pushing the base with the nails. Make it look at the second post with the skull at the top. The door behind you opens. With 2 fire arrows, light the 2 torches to create a platform. Jump to pass the door and go down the corridor. In the room with the sentry, go left (cross the wall) and take the door.
You arrive in a room with a spinning statue with 2 long sabers. You can go underneath by bending down with the shield, rolling, or just spinning at the same time. Do your best to collect all the white rubies and kill all the enemies (the grapple is great against the skulltulas). Passing one of the doors, you will find the map. Exit the very small room and go along the right wall to take the next door. Go to the end of the small corridor to fall from one floor. Kill the invisible skulltula and take the small key from the invisible chest next to it. Go back into the room with sword statues. Come out from where you came from.
Go straight into the room with the sentry. Kill the 2 mummies, take the small key from the trunk and get out. Take a left in front of the sentry and take the corridor that goes up.
At the bottom right, use the monocle to see that you have to put a bomb to be able to pass through the wall. After the explosion, go through the wall and unlock the door. Keep your monocle on the way to cross straight then right and take the door. Eliminate all "scares" after playing the song of the sun for simplicity and take the compass in the trunk.
Get out, cross the wall and go to the middle of the right wall blocked by a block of time. Play the song of time and cross the following 2 walls. Use the arch in the eye in the middle of the left wall and go to the back on the right (compared to where you arrived) and take the West door.
Beat the fist to get the boots from the Airs .
Get out of the room tangle with false walls always going in front of where you arrive (look at the eyes that glow green on the drawings on the walls). In the first room of the dungeon (with the statue of the bird), take the door at the end and the corridor downhill. In the sentry room, blow up the wall opposite and take the locked door. Go down the corridor without necessarily stopping for the sentries and the skulltula.
You arrive in a gigantic room (or rather, a cave). Cross straight, avoiding the guillotines and jump to the left on the invisible platform at the level of the 2 sentries (kill them if necessary). Use the bow and arrow of fire to shoot in the eye and jump on the platform in front of you then go to the left end and open the door.
Follow the corridor and activate your monocle to see the danger. In the room, a large statue which turns with sharp blades is invisible. By turning in its direction and by moving away, you should be able to recover all the white rubies, except that in the angle in height for which it is necessary to play the song of time. The small room opens, take the small key in the trunk on the right.
Go back into the cave in the opposite way and go straight at the level of the sentries. At the bottom, there is a grid with a switch behind. Hit with your sword and go through the door that opens. When you arrive in the room with the large studded blocks that crush the ground, activate your monocle. On the right, there is a block that must be pulled to the limit on the ground. Then push it towards the nails so that they stop on it rather than on the ground. Push until the block is astride the 2 large studded squares. You are now safe (and there is a a golden skulltula behind the grid) . Go around the block and pull it to the end. Climb on it and jump on the left then change sides while passing on the studded block to step on the button. A chest appears, go take it using the grapple. You get a small key .
Get out in the big cave. Go towards the 2 sentries but turn left before climbing on the translucent platforms. Go under the guillotine and activate the monocle. A platform goes back and forth, jump on it and put your boots on the air to reach the door, pay attention to the timing, the boots slip quite a bit at start-up!
In the next room, the white rubies release the left door which contains 20 rubies so go straight to the point by gripping the target in the air in front of the opposite door (monocle) and unlock the door. To pass the corridor with fans, put on your lead boots so that they cannot repel you. Arrive at the big hole, it will nevertheless raise your boots from the air. By holding Z to lock the camera, you can see the fan in front. When it will stop, go straight ahead. Once on the other side, put your lead boots back on. These will allow you to easily cross the narrow strip of soil while the fans blow perpendicularly. Take the door at the end.
In the next room, play the song of the sun to freeze the scares, quickly take the small key and la skulltula d'or then return to the room with the fan.
In front of the first fan, there is an invisible opening. You will have to put your boots on from the air and blow yourself in the back to hover a little longer. To do this, you can stand on the line when the fan is stopped and start when it starts to push you. Take the door. In the mummy room, take la skulltula d'or and walk through the door. You arrive in a room even larger than the previous time, there is a boat in this cave with underground river! Go pull the block just to your left on the gray strip. Then pull it out for a moment and push it until it fits into the hole under the ladder.
Climb the ladder then onto the boat and play Zelda's lullaby on the triforce logo to get it started. After a "crossing" during which you will face two stalfos, jump on the bank on the left. Another small river blocks your path. Use your bow to shoot the cauliflower on the other side of the shore. The bird statue will collapse, creating a perfect bridge :). On the bridge, you will be able to get a gold skulltula . Go along the bank to the "block of time" and play the song of time to make it disappear. An eye appears on the column. Shoot an arrow over the eye and go up to the grapple block that appears on your right. Use the grapple to reach a high platform. Step on the button to open the door. The door being on the opposite bank, cross the "bird column" to go and take it.
This room is small but there are lots of invisible walls, go take the West door. Three giant stone skulls go around in circles in this room. Take the cauliflowers at the top of the room and throw them in to make them all explode. Go back down to get the small key and the rubies then come out.
This time, take the North door with the freshly acquired key. Two studded "walls" approach you. Fortunately, they are made of wood and a small "Din fire" will get you out of this bad step. On the right, the golden and blue chest contains the boss's key.
Get out of the 2 rooms (east for the second) to find yourself in the room of the boat. Cross the bird bridge and take the door a little to the right. To cross this room without hindrance, put on your monocle and your winged boots. Also take the golden skulltula before entering the boss door.
You arrive in a small room with a hole. Jump in to land on a giant drum where the boss of the Temple of Shadow plays: Bongo Bongo, monster of Shadow.
The beat is quite simple, first block these 2 hands with your bow and the Z aim. Then use your monocle to aim the boss and send him an arrow in the sensitive parts (but not the ** beep **). The monster then crashes on the drum. Take the opportunity to strike him with your sword (jump attack preferably) by putting yourself very close to him. Bongo Bongo has 3 attacks to its panoply:
In any case, if you attack his hands quickly each time, you will not risk much.
Bongo Bongo is defeated and passed out in horrible suffering. After taking the heart, you teleport once more to the sanctuary of the wise. Impa turns out to be the sage of the Shadow and explains to you that Ganon attacked Hyrule 7 years ago and that she managed to put Princess Zelda in a safe place. Now Impa must stay at the sanctuary. She gives you the medallion of the Shadow and tells you that you will have to protect Zelda who will find you soon and explain everything to you.
